Dublin Airport (DUB)
Travel and Ground Transport

(Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland)

As the capital city of Ireland, Dublin has a well-defined network of main roads, motorways and rail tracks. Travel to the provinces is made easy by a network of interlinking motorways covering the country.

With express bus, coach and rail services, travel around the busy capital city is made easy and affordable.

Buses

Services from the Dublin area to the airport are operated by AerDart, Dublin Bus and Urbus. Dublin Bus offer services from Heuston and Connolly railway stations.

North of Dublin, BusEireann operates a service to Dundalk and Belfast. An Expressway service is run in cooperation with Ulsterbus and can be caught at bus stop 8, Arrivals road. BusEireann operates a national coach service from Central Bus Station, which can be accessed via Airlink, located at bus stop 1, Arrivals road. From Tramore and Waterford in the south, services to the airport are operated by JJ Kavanagh, while services from Wexford are operated by Ardcavan. Bus Nestor runs a service to the airport from Galway, as does Citylink.

Shuttle Buses

Aircoach run a 24-hour service between the airport and downtown Dublin and South Dublin City. The service stops at most major hotels and a one-way fare will cost you around €6.00. Dublin Bus runs an Airlink service from Heuston and Connolly railway stations.

Hotel Shuttles

Great Southern Hotel and Clarion Hotel Dublin both provide a complimentary shuttle bus service for guests. Most major hotels in and around Dublin also offer a shuttle bus service. Aircoach bus service also stops at most major hotels in the city.

Trains

There is currently no train service linking central Dublin with Dublin Airport. However, Dublin Bus and Aerdart run services to Heuston and Connolly railway stations and Howth Junction Dart Station respectively.

Taxi Cabs

Probably the most convenient way to get to the centre of Dublin is by taxi. Dublin Airport is well serviced by taxis that are licensed by Dublin Corporation. Taxis can be found outside the Arrivals building. An average fare is about €15.00, but you should ask the driver before accepting the ride. Extra charges are sometimes added for luggage and animals.

Limousines

There are many companies that specialise in limousine transfer to and from the airport. These include ONE limo, Excite UK, Browse Ireland and Airport-Limos-Dublin.com. These firms can be contacted directly or alternatively arrangements can be made at many of the information desks throughout the Arrivals concourse.
